An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Sofia. Third ranked Slavia faced their biggest opponent Beroe. Host Slavia (4-5) defeated guests from Stara Zagora (6-3) 62-58. Slavia forced 23 Beroe turnovers. Beroe was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Ester Micheva (180-94) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 9 rebounds. Swingman Martina Nikolova (179-94) contributed with 10 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. International swingman Teodora Dineva (178-96) answered with 15 points and 4 assists and international point guard Gergana Ivanova (177-99) added 7 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Beroe. Beroe's coach Tatyana Gateva rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Newly promoted Slavia maintains third place with 4-5 record having four points less than leader Haskovo 2012. Beroe at the other side keeps the second position with three games lost. Slavia will again play against league's second-placed Beroe in Stara Zagora in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Beroe will play at home against the league's leader Montana 2003 and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
