Regular Season Round 27: ALBA - Wuerzburg 80-76
Date: April 1, 2018
Very predictable result when second ranked ALBA Berlin (23-4) won against at home 11th ranked s Oliver Baskets (13-14) 80-76 on Sunday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. ALBA Berlin looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a good game for American forward Luke Sikma (203-89, college: Portland) who led his team to a victory with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). His fellow American import point guard Peyton Siva (183-90, college: Louisville) contributed with 7 points, 12 assists and 4 steals for the winners. The former international point guard Maurice Stuckey (187-90) answered with 16 points and 6 rebounds and American guard Kameron Taylor (198-94, college: Seton Hill) added 16 points in the effort for s Oliver Baskets. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. The victory was the thirteenth consecutive win for ALBA Berlin. They maintain second place with 23-4 record having just one point less than leader B.Muenchen. s Oliver Baskets lost their third game in a row. They keep the eleventh position with 14 games lost. ALBA Berlin will face Telekom Baskets (#5) in Bonn in the next round. s Oliver Baskets will play at home against Braunschweig (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
