An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Botevgrad. First ranked Balkan faced 4th ranked Academik Plovdiv. Host Balkan (16-3) defeated guests from Plovdiv (13-7) 86-76. The game was mostly controlled by Balkan. Academik Plovdiv managed to win third quarter 19-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. Balkan outrebounded Academik Plovdiv 40-22 including a 32-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. 24 personal fouls committed by Academik Plovdiv helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities.
