Regular Season Round 19: HAI - Kyiv Basket 55-118

Superleague top team - Kyiv Basket (28-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed seventh ranked HAI (10-19) in Kharkiv 118-55. The game without a history. Kyiv Basket led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 80 of its points in the paint compared to HAI's 42. Kyiv Basket forced 19 HAI turnovers and outrebounded them 50-33 including a 35-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Kyiv Basket especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by HAI's players. It was a great evening for the former international power forward Tetyana Yurkevicius (187-95) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 18 rebounds. Guard Xeniya Afanasyeva (171-93) helped adding 21 points and 5 rebounds. Five Kyiv Basket players scored in double figures. At the losing side the former international center Oleksandra Chek (191-93) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds and point guard Nataliya Pokrovenko (170-93) scored 8 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Kyiv Basket have an impressive series of twenty five victories in a row. Newly promoted Kyiv Basket maintains first place with 28-0 record. HAI lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with 19 games lost.
