No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Izmit (19-8) defeated on the road 12th ranked Edirne (10-18) 77-60. Izmit forced 25 Edirne turnovers and had a 20-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. American forward Arhonda Covington (185-85, college: Louisville) notched a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds to lead the effort and Deniz Dogan (176-94) supported her with 21 points. Four Izmit players scored in double figures. Even 22 points and 9 rebounds by American center Molly Schlemer (196-92, college: Cal Poly - SLO) did not help to save the game for Edirne.
