There was an upset when higher ranked Tuebingen II (12-13) was outplayed on the road by thirteenth ranked Lich II (7-17) 91-63 on Saturday. Lich II dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Tuebingen II's 22 and made 29-of-35 free shots (82.9 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Tuebingen II 47-29 including a 37-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. Tuebingen II was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was forward Felix-Frederik Schweizer (193) who had a double-double by scoring 13 points and 22 rebounds. Croatian Karlo Lebo (196-94, agency: PEPI SPORT) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds. Five Lich II players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Rouven Hanig who recorded 13 points and 8 rebounds and Serbian Nemanja Nadjfeji (193) added 13 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Lich II maintains thirteenth place in South-West with 7-17 record. Tuebingen II lost their third game in a row. They keep the seventh position with 13 games lost. Lich II will face higher ranked Stuttgart (#6) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
