Regular Season Round 24: Fenerbahce - Trabzonspor 112-83

BSL top team - Fenerbahce (21-3) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eleventh ranked Trabzonspor (9-15) in Istanbul 112-83. Fenerbahce shot the lights out from three nailing 13 long-distance shots on high 54.2 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Worth to mention a quality performance of center Ahmet Duverioglu (209-93) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 8 rebounds and international Melih Mahmutoglu (193-90) who added 14 points and 5 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was American swingman Osiris Eldridge (191-88, college: Illinois St.) with 22 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and his fellow American import Caleb Green (203-85, college: ORU) scored 12 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals. Five Trabzonspor players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Fenerbahce have an impressive eight-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 21-3 record. Trabzonspor at the other side keeps the eleventh place with 15 games lost. They share the position with Pinar Karsiyaka. Fenerbahce will play against Yesilgiresun Bld (#13) in Giresun in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Trabzonspor will play at home against Eskisehir Basket and hopes to get back on the winning track.
