Regular Season Round 31: TED Kolejliler - Selcuklu 71-70

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Selcuklu (21-10) against seventeenth ranked TED Kolejliler (9-22) on Saturday night. Visiting Selcuklu was edged by TED Kolejliler in a tough game in Ankara 70-71. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Gokturk-Gokalp Ural (196-95) who helped to win the game recording 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. American point guard Alfrie Kelley (183-85, college: S.Carolina) contributed with 18 points and 6 assists for the winners. Guard Sertay Gursu (194-87) answered with 17 points and 8 rebounds and Croatian swingman Fran Pilepic (193-89) added 14 points in the effort for Selcuklu. Five TED Kolejliler and four Selcuklu players scored in double figures. Selcuklu's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. TED Kolejliler moved-up to fifteenth place, which they share with Yalova Bld and Ankara DSI. Selcuklu lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the fourth position with ten games lost. TED Kolejliler will play against league's second-placed Bursaspor on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Selcuklu will play against Istanbulspor and hopes to get back on the winning track.
