Regular Season Round 26: Juventus - Lietkabelis 105-95

The most shocking disappointment of round 26 was a road defeat of 4th ranked Lietkabelis (18-11) to seventh ranked Juventus (11-18) 105-95. The game was mostly controlled by Juventus. Lietkabelis managed to win second period 27-24. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Juventus shot 63.6 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 75.0 percentage. Guard Dovis Bickauskis (191-93, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 30 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists to lead the charge for the winners and forward Arvydas Siksnius (196-87, college: Weatherford JC) chipped in 26 points during the contest. Latvian swingman Zanis Peiners (207-90) responded with 29 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and swingman Lukas Aukstikalnis (196-95, agency: Players Group) scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. Five Juventus and four Lietkabelis players scored in double figures. Lietkabelis' coach Ramunas Butautas rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Juventus moved-up to sixth place, which they share with P.Zvaigzdes. Lietkabelis at the other side keeps the fourth position with 11 games lost. Juventus is looking forward to face league's second-placed Lietuvos rytas in Vilnius in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Lietkabelis will play at home against Dzukija and is hoping to win this game.
