Regular Season Round 24: Anadolu Efes - Besiktas 78-69

The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Istanbul: Anadolu Efes (#4) and Besiktas (#3). Anadolu Efes (17-7) won against visiting Besiktas (16-8) 78-69. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Besiktas. It was a good game for American point guard Errick McCollum (185-88, college: Goshen) who led his team to a victory with 20 points. Croatian swingman Krunoslav Simon (197-85) contributed with 13 points for the winners. American guard Josh Adams (188-93, college: Wyoming) replied with 17 points and 4 assists and his fellow American import swingman Jon Diebler (198-88, college: Ohio St., agency: BeoBasket) added 13 points and 5 assists in the effort for Besiktas. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Besiktas' coach Ufuk Sarica rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Anadolu Efes have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Besiktas at the other side dropped to the fourth position with eight games lost. Anadolu Efes are looking forward to face Sakarya BSB (#7) on the road in the next round. Besiktas will play against Gaziantep and is hoping to win this game.
