Leader Benfica recorded the twenty fourth victory. This time they beat 5th ranked CAB Madeira (14-13) 78-62 in Funchal. Benfica dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to CAB Madeira's 20. The former international forward Carlos Andrade (197-78, college: Queens, NC) nailed 11 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side and Bosnian-Serbian power forward Miroslav Todic (205-85) accounted for 12 points and 7 rebounds. Four Benfica players scored in double figures. Benfica's coach Jose Ricardo Rodrigues allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Naturalized Brazilian Joao Gallina (192-94) came up with 11 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Diogo Gameiro (181-95) added 13 points and 4 assists respectively for CAB Madeira in the defeat. Benfica have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place in Places 1-6 with 24-4 record. CAB Madeira lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the fourth position with 13 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
