Regular Season Round 30: UBSC Graz - Gmunden 64-86

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Gmunden Swans (21-8) smashed on the road bottom-ranked UBSC Graz (3-27) 86-64 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Gmunden Swans. UBSC Graz was better in fourth quarter 18-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Gmunden Swans looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international point guard Daniel Friedrich (181-92) who scored 23 points and 4 assists. International forward Enis Murati (194-88, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 12 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Gmunden Swans players scored in double figures. Gmunden Swans' coach Bernd Wimmer felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American center Darien Nelson-Henry (211-94, college: Pennsylvania) who recorded a double-double by scoring 31 points and 11 rebounds and forward David Heuberger (195-92) added 10 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists respectively. Gmunden Swans moved-up to second place, which they share with Arkadia. UBSC Graz lost sixth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 27 lost games. Gmunden Swans will face league's leader Kapfenberg Bulls at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. UBSC Graz will play against the league's second-placed Arkadia Lions (#2) and hope to win that game.
