The game between closely ranked teams ended with eighth ranked Lusitania's (11-16) home victory over 9th ranked Ovarense (12-15) 79-71 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was American forward Timajh Parker-Rivera (202-94, college: Towson) who had a double-double by scoring 12 points, 13 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks. His fellow American import forward Brandon Garrett (206-90, college: Murray St.) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Four Lusitania players scored in double figures. Canadian-British forward Jermel Kennedy (201-89, college: Lander) produced 19 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists and American point guard Will Perry (180-94, college: Lenoir-Rhyne) added 28 points respectively for the guests. Ovarense's coach Nuno Manarte let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Despite that victory Lusitania went down to ninth position (Places 7-12) due to points difference. Loser Ovarense dropped to the eighth place with 15 games lost. Lusitania will face Electrico FC (#11) in Ponte de Sor in the next round.
