Regular Season Round 28: Vytautas - Dzukija 74-63

Bottom-ranked Vytautas managed to get the second consecutive victory on Sunday night. This time they won against eighth-ranked Dzukija in Prienai 74-63. The game was mostly controlled by Vytautas. Dzukija managed to win third quarter 15-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The winners were led by international swingman Edvinas Seskus (196-95, agency: Players Group) who scored that evening 17 points and 5 rebounds and international forward Eigirdas Zukauskas (205-92) supported him with 13 points and 6 rebounds. Even 15 points and 8 rebounds by American forward Alan Wiggins (206-85, college: USF) did not help to save the game for Dzukija. Forward Paulius Petrilevicius (200-91, agency: Octagon Europe) added 10 points and 9 rebounds for lost side. Four Dzukija players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Vytautas maintains tenth position with 7-24 record. Dzukija lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with 22 games lost. Vytautas will meet higher ranked Juventus (#7) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Dzukija will play against Nevezis in Kedainiai and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
