Regular Season Round 25: Cherno More - Spartak Pleven 76-89

Bottom-ranked Spartak Pleven managed to get a second victory, breaking the series of eight consecutive losses. This time they won against eighth-ranked Cherno More in Varna 89-76. The game was mostly controlled by Spartak Pleven. Cherno More was better in fourth quarter 27-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of Belarusian center Uladzimir Krysevich (209-91) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds. Point guard Nikolay Marinov (174-94) contributed with 24 points and 5 assists for the winners. Four Spartak Pleven players scored in double figures. The former international forward Sim Iliev (204-89, agency: Interperformances) answered with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 14 rebounds and point guard Tsvetoslav Ostrev (175-86) added 16 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Cherno More. Cherno More's coach Darin Velikov rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Spartak Pleven maintains ninth place with 2-21 record. Cherno More lost their eighth game in a row. They keep the eighth position with 17 games lost. Spartak Pleven will play against higher ranked Academik Plovdiv (#4) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Cherno More will play against Beroe (#5) in Stara Zagora and hopes to get back on the winning track.
