Regular Season Round 25: Rilski - Levski Lukoil 73-75

The most exciting game of round 25 in the NBL took place in Samokov. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of their biggest opponent Rilski (16-7) to third ranked Levski Lukoil (17-8) 75-73 in the game for the second place. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Rilski. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Rilski cut a 15-point halftime deficit to two at the end of the game. The former international guard Bozhidar Avramov (196-90) fired 22 points and 5 assists for the winners. Montenegrin Nemanja Milosevic (204-87, college: W.Kentucky, agency: 011 Sports) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds. Levski Lukoil's coach Konstantin Papazov used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American point guard Derek Wright (180-86, college: Austin Peay St.) produced 23 points and 5 assists and the other American import forward Travis Taylor (203-90, college: Xavier) added 21 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) respectively for lost side. Levski Lukoil have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They moved-up to second place. Rilski at the other side dropped to the third position with seven games lost. Levski Lukoil are looking forward to face league's leader Balkan in Botevgrad in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Rilski will have a break next round.
