Second Stage Round 9: Olimpija - Tajfun 96-62

Liga Nova KBM top team - Olimpija (7-2) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eighth ranked Tajfun (2-7) in Ljubljana 96-62. The game without a history. Olimpija led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Tajfun's players. American Devin Oliver (204-92, college: Dayton) stepped up and scored 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and international Gregor Hrovat (196-94) chipped in 20 points. Olimpija's coach Zoran Martic felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was international center Tomaz Bolcina (208-94, agency: PEPI SPORT) with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and American point guard Corey Allen (185-92, college: S.Florida) scored 9 points and 4 assists. Defending champion maintains first place in Nova KBM with 7-2 record. Tajfun at the other side keeps the eighth position with seven games lost. Olimpija will play against Krka (#3) in Novo Mesto in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Tajfun will play at home against Rogaska (#4) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
