No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Vienna (16-15) crushed at home bottom-ranked UBSC Graz (3-29) 101-81 on Thursday. The hosts trailed by 4 points after three quarters before their 38-14 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Strangely UBSC Graz outrebounded Vienna 39-27 including 29 on the defensive glass. It was a very good performance for the former international guard Stjepan Stazic (199-78) who helped to win the game recording 34 points (!!!) and 6 assists. Czech center Jiri Hubalek (208-82, college: Iowa St., agency: Interperformances) contributed with 24 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American center Darien Nelson-Henry (211-94, college: Pennsylvania) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds and the former international Anton Maresch (191-91) added 17 points and 9 assists in the effort for UBSC Graz. Four Vienna and five UBSC Graz players scored in double figures. Vienna moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Wels. UBSC Graz lost eighth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 29 lost games. Vienna will face Gunners Oberwart (#7) at home in the next round.
