The game between closely ranked teams ended with 3rd placed Gmunden Swans' (21-10) road loss to second ranked Arkadia Lions (23-8) in Traiskirchen 74-76 on Friday. It was a very good performance for American swingman Shawn Ray (194-80, college: N.C.Central) who helped to win the game recording 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international forward Florian Trmal (199-89, agency: Dynamics Global Management) contributed with 15 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Arkadia Lions players scored in double figures. International forward Enis Murati (194-88, agency: Octagon Europe) answered with 21 points and naturalized German power forward Tilo Klette (206-77) added 18 points in the effort for Gmunden Swans. Arkadia Lions have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain second place with 23-8 record having just two points less than leader Kapfenberg. Loser Gmunden Swans keep the third position with ten games lost. Arkadia Lions will face league's leader Kapfenberg Bulls on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Gmunden Swans will play against Furstenfeld Panthers and hope to win that game.
