An interesting game took place in Gaziantep, where higher ranked Sakarya BSB (13-13) lost to fifteenth ranked Gaziantep (8-18) in a road game 67-79 on Saturday. American forward Robert Carter (206-94, college: Maryland) had a double-double by scoring 22 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import Sean Armand (196-91, college: Iona) chipped in 16 points and 4 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) during the contest. Four Gaziantep players scored in double figures. French center Moustapha Fall (218-92) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and American point guard Lazeric Jones (182-90, college: UCLA) scored 11 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Sakarya BSB's coach Selcuk Ernak let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Gaziantep moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Yesilgiresun. Sakarya BSB lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the eighth position with 13 games lost. Gaziantep will meet higher ranked Istanbul BBSK (#11) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Sakarya BSB will play against Galatasaray and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
