Round 28 in Regionalliga means a new league leader. The biggest surprise took place in Treutchlingen where host Treuchtlingen (20-6) beat league's leader Oberhaching (22-4) 84-77 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the nine-game winning streak of Oberhaching. Treuchtlingen shot 27 for 41 from the free-throw line, while Oberhaching only scored nine points from the stripe. 30 personal fouls committed by Oberhaching helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Guard Tim Eisenberger (197-91) fired 29 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Forward Stefan Schmoll (196-89) chipped in 14 points. Center Moritz Wohlers (203-84, college: Mont.St.-Billings) produced 13 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Janosch Koegler (190-93) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Treuchtlingen and five Oberhaching players scored in double figures. Oberhaching's coach Mario Matic rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Treuchtlingen have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position in South-East with 20-6 record despite having the same number of points like the leader Muenster. Oberhaching at the other side dropped to the second place with four games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Muenster.
