There was no surprise in Lisbona where 6th ranked Sanjoanense (15-12) was defeated by fourth ranked Benfica B (16-10) 82-72 on Sunday. Benfica B outrebounded Sanjoanense 46-35 including a 14-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Guard Rafael Santos (175-99) fired 27 points and 4 assists for the winners. Power forward Goncalo Delgado (204-98) chipped in 9 points and 16 rebounds. Guard Silvio Rodrigues (184-92) produced 23 points and 6 rebounds and Spanish power forward Sergi Coll (204-82) added 16 points and 11 rebounds respectively for lost side. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Benfica B. They moved-up to third place in Places 1-8. Sanjoanense lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the fifth position with 12 games lost. Benfica B will face Maia Basket (#4) on the road in the next round. Sanjoanense will play against Belenenses CF and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
