The game in Frankfurt was also quite interesting. 6th ranked Brose Baskets (18-12) played at the court of eighth ranked Deutsche Bank Skyliners (18-14). Deutsche Bank Skyliners defeated Brose Baskets 83-72 on Sunday. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Brose Baskets. Deutsche Bank Skyliners dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Brose Baskets' 28. Canadian-British guard Philip Scrubb (191-92, college: Carleton) fired 33 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners (made all of his ten free throws !!!). American forward Mike Morrison (206-89, college: George Mason, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 13 points and 9 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). American-Italian guard Daniel Hackett (199-87, college: USC) produced 11 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and American forward Dorell Wright (206-85) added 14 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Deutsche Bank Skyliners maintains eighth place with 18-14 record. Defending champion Brose Baskets dropped to the seventh position with 12 games lost. Deutsche Bank Skyliners will meet league's second-placed ALBA Berlin on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Brose Baskets will play against Oettinger Rockets Gotha (#16) and hope to secure a win.
