Second Stage Round 12: Domzale - Grosbasket 38-73

Bottom-ranked Domzale is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 26th consecutive match to seventh ranked Grosbasket (9-16) 73-38. Domzale was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Grosbasket dominated on the defensive end, holding Domzale to just 4 points in fourth quarter and to 14 points in second half. Grosbasket dominated down low during the game scoring 40 of its points in the paint compared to Domzale's 16. Grosbasket forced 26 Domzale turnovers and outrebounded them 49-28 including a 18-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was guard Tinkara Zorana (171-99) who scored 13 points and 9 rebounds. Center Teja Gorsic (187-99) chipped in 12 points and 9 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Vanja Tajher (178-95) who recorded 16 points and Croatian guard Maja Percan (177-92) added 6 points and 5 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Grosbasket moved-up to sixth place. Domzale at the other side still closes the standings. Grosbasket's next round opponent will be Jezica (#7) in Ljubljana. Domzale will play at home against the league's leader Celje and hopes to get finally their first victory.
