Seventh ranked Gunners Oberwart won a double-overtime thriller edging 6th ranked Dukes by two points 100-102 on Monday night. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Dukes. The hosts trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 7-point lead at the halftime then Dukes managed to tie the game at the end of regular time. However that was Gunners Oberwart who were better in double-overtime eventually winning that period 9-8. Dukes were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Denzel Gregg (201, college: St.Bonaventure) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists. His fellow American import guard Jerome Seagears (185-92, college: UNLV) contributed with 29 points for the winners. Serbian Predrag Miletic (193-84) answered with 28 points and naturalized Argentinian forward Fabricio Vay (207-86, agency: Interperformances) added 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Dukes. Four Gunners Oberwart and five Dukes players scored in double figures. Gunners Oberwart maintains seventh place with 13-18 record. Dukes at the other side keep the sixth position with 17 games lost. Gunners Oberwart will face higher ranked Vienna (#5) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
