Second Stage Round 13: Triglav - Ilrija 91-56

The game between Top Four teams took place in Kranj. Second ranked host Triglav (23-4) smashed 3rd placed Ilrija (14-12) 91-56. The game without a history. Triglav led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Ilrija's 32. They outrebounded Ilrija 46-26 including a 35-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Triglav players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Ilrija's players. The former international point guard Rebeka Abramovic (172-93) nailed 18 points, 6 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals for the winning side and Ana Saric (182-0) accounted for 21 points and 6 rebounds. Five Triglav players scored in double figures. Center Ela Stergar (187-96) came up with 24 points and 8 rebounds and Ela Micunovic (182-97) added 18 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Ilrija in the defeat. Triglav have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain second place with 23-4 record having four points less than leader Celje. Ilrija at the other side keeps the third position with 12 games lost. Triglav will play against league's leader Celje on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Ilrija will play against Maribor and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
