Second Stage Round 11: Rogaska - Krka 88-78

The game between third ranked Krka (6-5) and fourth ranked Rogaska (7-4) was the most important one in the last round on Wednesday night. Krka was defeated by Rogaska in Rogaska Slatina 88-78. The game was mostly controlled by Rogaska. Krka managed to win second period 18-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. 28 personal fouls committed by Krka helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for international forward Mitja Nikolic-Smrdelj (200-91, agency: Players Group) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points and 6 rebounds. Miha Fon (193-84, agency: PEPI SPORT) helped adding 17 points and 6 assists. Serbian-Bosnian forward Marko Josilo (200-92) responded with 18 points and 8 rebounds and Croatian guard Paolo Marinelli (191-95) scored 10 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Rogaska moved-up to third place in Nova KBM. Krka at the other side dropped to the fourth position with five games lost. Rogaska are looking forward to face Helios (#5) in Domzale in the next round. Krka will play at home against Sencur Gor. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
