Second Stage Round 9: BC Timisoara - CSU Sibiu 84-70

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked CSU Sibiu (24-8) on the court of fifth ranked BC Timisoara on Wednesday night. Visitors were defeated by BC Timisoara 84-70. It was a good game for Serbian guard Mladen Jeremic (198-88, agency: 011 Sports) who led his team to a victory with 24 points (perfect behind the arc making all six shots !!!). Cuban-American center Adrian Diaz (213-93, college: FIU) contributed with 12 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four BC Timisoara players scored in double figures. American forward Jordan Williams (208-90, college: Maryland) answered with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds and the other American import Monyea Pratt (196-85, college: Stillman, agency: Court Side) added 8 points in the effort for CSU Sibiu. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. BC Timisoara maintains fifth place in Nationala with 19-13 record. CSU Sibiu at the other side still keeps top position with eight games lost. BC Timisoara are looking forward to face Pitesti (#6) at home in the next round. CSU Sibiu will play against UBT Cluj Napoca (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
