Everything went according to plan in Bonn where fifth ranked Telekom Baskets (20-11) outleveled 12th ranked Braunschweig (13-19) 87-56. Telekom Baskets players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. They brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. Forward Martin Breunig (203-92, college: Montana) orchestrated the victory by scoring 15 points and 9 rebounds. Naturalized American guard TJ DiLeo (190-90, college: Temple) contributed with 7 points and 7 assists for the winners. American power forward Scott Eatherton (203-91, college: Northeastern, agency: BeoBasket) replied with 15 points and 7 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and Austrian point guard Thomas Klepeisz (186-91) added 8 points and 8 assists in the effort for Braunschweig. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Telekom Baskets maintains fifth position with 20-11 record. Braunschweig lost third consecutive game. They keep the twelfth place with 19 games lost. They share the position with Jena.
