There was no surprise in Oldenburg where 15th ranked BG Goettingen (9-21) was crushed by sixth ranked EWE Baskets (20-12) 97-75. Austrian-Slovenian center Rasid Mahalbasic (210-90, agency: BeoBasket) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points. The former international Philipp Schwethelm (201-89) contributed with 15 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four EWE Baskets players scored in double figures. American Darius Carter (201-92, college: Wichita St.) replied with 11 points and 7 rebounds and Stephan Haukohl (201-93) added 9 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for BG Goettingen. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. EWE Baskets maintains sixth position with 20-12 record.
