Very expected game when 9th ranked s Oliver Baskets (17-15) were defeated on the road by third ranked EnBW Ludwigsburg (23-8) 87-77. s Oliver Baskets were plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. American forward Elgin Cook (198-93, college: Oregon, agency: BeoBasket) orchestrated the victory by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). The other American import swingman Thomas Walkup (193-92, college: SF Austin) contributed with 7 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Canadian power forward Owen Klassen (208-91, college: Acadia) replied with 15 points and 9 rebounds and the former international point guard Maurice Stuckey (187-90) added 16 points in the effort for s Oliver Baskets. Four s Oliver Baskets players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. EnBW Ludwigsburg maintains third position with 23-8 record having seven points less than leader B.Muenchen. s Oliver Baskets at the other side keep the ninth place with 15 games lost. EnBW Ludwigsburg will play against BBC Bayreuth (#4) on the road in the next round. s Oliver Baskets will play against Walter Tigers (#18) in Tuebingen and hope to get back on the winning track.
