Important game to mention about took place in Izmit. Tenth ranked Bayrakli (14-16) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging 4th placed Izmit (20-10) 76-74 on Saturday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the home team. Bayrakli players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was a good game for guard Revaziye Atila (170-88, agency: 1andBox Sports Agency) who led her team to a victory with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Guard Sirin Altuntabakli (173-83) contributed with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Four Bayrakli players scored in double figures. American forward Arhonda Covington (185-85, college: Louisville) answered with 21 points and 8 rebounds and guard Melek Yusufoglu (168-94) added 16 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists in the effort for Izmit. Bayrakli moved-up to ninth place. Izmit at the other side keeps the fourth position with ten games lost. They share it with Edremit. Bayrakli will play against Yalova Vip (#15) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Izmit will play against Urla BLD (#6) in Izmir and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
