Regular Season Round 33: Fraport SKY - Jena 67-65

Thirteenth-ranked Science City Jena (13-20) was very close to win a game against eighth ranked Deutsche Bank Skyliners (19-15) in Frankfurt. Deutsche Bank Skyliners managed to secure only two-point victory 67-65. However their fans expected much easier game. The best player for the winners was American forward Mike Morrison (206-89, college: George Mason, agency: Interperformances) who scored 13 points and 8 rebounds. Canadian-British guard Philip Scrubb (191-92, college: Carleton) chipped in 8 points and 8 assists. Deutsche Bank Skyliners' coach Gordon Herbert allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Skyler Bowlin (191-89, college: Missouri So.) who recorded 7 points and 6 rebounds and forward Julius Wolf (201-93) added 8 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Deutsche Bank Skyliners maintains eighth place with 19-15 record. Science City Jena at the other side dropped to the twelfth position with 20 games lost. Deutsche Bank Skyliners' next round opponent will be higher ranked EWE Baskets (#6) in Oldenburg and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Science City Jena will play at home against Oettinger Rockets Gotha (#16) and hope to win that game.
