Second Stage Round 13: Rogaska - Olimpija 65-70

An interesting game for Olimpija (11-2) which played road game in Rogaska Slatina against 4th placed Rogaska (7-6). First ranked Olimpija managed to get a 5-point victory 70-65. The guests trailed by 11 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 5 points. Olimpija had a 29-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Jordan Morgan (203-91, college: Michigan) who helped to win the game recording 8 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international center Mirza Begic (216-85) contributed with 12 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. International forward Mitja Nikolic-Smrdelj (200-91, agency: Players Group) answered with 12 points and 6 rebounds and American guard Rashun Davis (180-93, college: Radford) added 11 points and 4 assists in the effort for Rogaska. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Olimpija have an impressive series of six victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 11-2 record. Rogaska at the other side keeps the fourth position with six games lost. They share it with Helios. Olimpija are looking forward to face Sencur Gor. (#6) in Kranj in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Rogaska will play on the road against the league's second-placed KK Primorska in Koper and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
