An interesting game took place in Bremerhaven where higher ranked Giessen 46ers (16-18) were upset on the court of seventeenth ranked Eisbaeren Bremerhaven (8-26) 87-74. Eisbaeren Bremerhaven dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Giessen 46ers' 30. Americans were the main players on the court. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Carl Baptiste (208-90, college: Delaware) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 7 rebounds. Center John Bryant (210-87, college: Santa Clara) replied with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and swingman Austin Hollins (195-91, college: Minnesota) added 12 points and 5 assists in the effort for Giessen 46ers. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Eisbaeren Bremerhaven moved-up to sixteenth place. Giessen 46ers at the other side dropped to the tenth position with 18 games lost.
