Second Stage Round 6: Metalac - FMP 75-101

Bottom-ranked Metalac is still unable to win any game. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their sixth consecutive match to second ranked FMP (5-1) 101-75 on Friday evening. The game without a history. FMP led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. FMP outrebounded Metalac 36-19 including a 25-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for guard Nemanja Nenadic (197-94) who led his team to a victory with 17 points and 5 assists. Guard Stefan Pot (195-94) contributed with 13 points for the winners. Guard Aleksandar Vasic (185-87) replied with 22 points and 7 assists and power forward Nenad Nerandzic (203-96) added 13 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Metalac. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. FMP have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position in Group B with 5-1 record behind leader Partizan NIS. Loser Metalac still closes the standings with six games lost. FMP's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Beograd Partizan.
