Regular Season Round 28: Trabzonspor - Yesilgiresun 100-95

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both fourteenth ranked Trabzonspor and 13th ranked Yesilgiresun Bld had identical 9-18 record. This time Trabzonspor used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Giresun 100-95 on Saturday night. Strangely Yesilgiresun Bld outrebounded Trabzonspor 33-20 including 22 on the defensive glass. They shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 51.7 percentage. Trabzonspor looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Lithuanian point guard Sarunas Vasiliauskas (188-89, agency: Players Group) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 9 assists and American swingman Osiris Eldridge (191-88, college: Illinois St.) who added 25 points and 5 assists during the contest. At the losing side American forward Davon Jefferson (204-86, college: USC) responded with 26 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) and his fellow American import point guard Kenny Boynton (188-91, college: Florida, agency: Higher Vision Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 assists. Five Trabzonspor and four Yesilgiresun Bld players scored in double figures. Trabzonspor (10-18) moved-up to twelfth place. Loser Yesilgiresun Bld keeps the thirteenth position with 19 games lost. Trabzonspor will face league's second-placed Tofas in Bursa in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Yesilgiresun Bld will play at home against Darussafaka (#6) and hope to win that game.
