Regular Season Round 28: Fenerbahce - Besiktas 83-60
Date: May 5, 2018
Another interesting game was again a derby between two teams from Istanbul: Fenerbahce (#1) and Besiktas (#4). Fenerbahce (24-3) smashed visiting Besiktas (18-10) by 23 points 83-60. The winners were led by international point guard Bobby Dixon (178-83, college: Troy, agency: BeoBasket) who scored that evening 18 points and international guard Sinan Guler (192-83, college: Carroll, MT, agency: 1x1 Sports) supported him with 14 points and 4 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Even 20 points by American guard Josh Adams (188-93, college: Wyoming) did not help to save the game for Besiktas. His fellow American import Earl Clark (208-88, college: Louisville) added 9 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Fenerbahce have an impressive 11-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 24-3 record. Besiktas at the other side keeps the fourth place with ten games lost. Fenerbahce will play against Sakarya BSB (#8) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Besiktas will play against Eskisehir Basket (#7) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
