There was no surprise when 10th ranked Terceira (11-18) was crushed on the road by eighth ranked Galitos-Barreiro (17-16) 99-64 on Sunday. Galitos-Barreiro dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Terceira's 30. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Terceira's players. The game was dominated by American players. Forward Dominique Lee (196-91, college: N.Colorado, agency: Blacktop Management) scored 18 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Cedric Isom (188-84, college: E.Texas Baptist) chipped in 15 points and 6 assists during the contest. Isom is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the losing side forward Manny Ogunfolu (201-89, college: S.Indiana) responded with 20 points and 7 rebounds and power forward Marcus Van (201-87, college: Cent.Michigan) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. Five Galitos-Barreiro and four Terceira players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Galitos-Barreiro moved-up to seventh place in Places 7-12. Terceira lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the tenth position with 18 games lost.
