Kormend toppled KTE-Duna in the opener. The game without a history. Kormend led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding KTE-Duna to just 7 points in first quarter. The former international Csaba Ferencz (194-85) nailed 20 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side and the former international power forward Milan Csorvasi (209-88, agency: HMS) accounted for 16 points and 10 rebounds. Four Kormend players scored in double figures. American guard Bernard Thompson (191-93, college: FGCU) came up with 6 points and 11 rebounds and Serbian center Rastko Dramicanin (208-86, agency: AproK Sports Group) added 11 points and 6 rebounds respectively for KTE-Duna in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.
