Aschersleben smashed ETV at home 91-67. Aschersleben dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to ETV's 32. They outrebounded ETV 44-33 including a 37-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Aschersleben players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by ETV's players. Worth to mention a great performance of Pakistani Salman Manzur (205-96) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 9 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). American point guard Kendal Williams (183-92, college: Delaware St.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 assists for the winners. Sergej Tittel (197-94) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and guard Fabian Paetsch (188-93) added 10 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for ETV. Four ETV players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. ETV will play next round against strong Langenhagen trying to get back on the winning streak. Aschersleben will try to continue on its current victory against Westerstede on the road.
