But Giessen Pointers were not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Stuttgart 81-77 on Saturday night. Stuttgart looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Giessen Pointers were plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American forward Nick Mosley (203-88, college: Tarleton St.) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points, 15 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Montenegrin Milos Mandic (195-97) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. Four Stuttgart players scored in double figures. American swingman Christopher Miller (192-93, college: Salem Intern.) produced 24 points and 4 steals and center Julian Reinwald (209) added 9 points and 10 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Giessen Pointers' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Stuttgart will face Kaiserslautern at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Giessen Pointers will play against Saarlouis/Dillingen (#14) and hope to win that game.
