OrangeAcademy used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Erfurt 68-54 on Sunday night. OrangeAcademy looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Nicolas Moebus (194-98) stepped up and scored 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and power forward Nils Mittmann (201-79) chipped in 10 points and 7 rebounds. OrangeAcademy's coach Daniel Jansson allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side American forward Robert Franklin (195-81, college: N.Mexico Highlands) responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Lucas Wobst (189-0) scored 16 points. OrangeAcademy will face Koeln Rh.Stars (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Loewen will play against Bayer Giants and hope to win that game.
