Regular Season Round 2: Prienu Skycop - Zalgiris 53-74

Date: September 27, 2018
The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Prienu Skycop (1-1) in Prienai on Thursday night. Hosts were rolled over by Zalgiris (2-0) 74-53. The game without a history. Zalgiris led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. 24 personal fouls committed by Prienu Skycop helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American point guard Nate Wolters (193-91, college: S.Dakota St., agency: Pensack Sports) who scored 15 points. International Edgaras Ulanovas (197-92) chipped in 12 points. American forward Mike Bruesewitz (201-90, college: Wisconsin, agency: Octagon Europe) produced 13 points and 6 rebounds and the former international guard Mindaugas Lukauskis (198-79) added 8 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Zalgiris is looking forward to face Juventus (#5) in Utena in the next round. Prienu Skycop will play on the road against Rytas in Vilnius and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
