There was a minor upset when Vilsbiburg (1-1) lost on the road to Bamberg (1-1) 70-63 on Saturday. Bamberg forced 22 Vilsbiburg turnovers. It was a good game for point guard Kevin Eichelsdoerfer (187-92) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 6 rebounds, 10 assists and 4 steals. Forward Daniel Eisenhardt (200-96) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winners. American swingman Grant Corsi (196-94, college: Trinity Intern.) answered with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds and swingman Michael Mayr (195-87) added 8 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals in the effort for Vilsbiburg. Vilsbiburg's coach Marc Vilas tested eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Bamberg will face Rosenheim (#4) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
