It was a good game for American swingman Christopher Miller (192-93, college: Salem Intern.) who led his team to a victory with 19 points and 7 rebounds. Dominik Turudic (202-94) contributed with 12 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Giessen Pointers' coach Daniel Doerr used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Naturalized American swingman Xavier Williams (190-91, college: Holy Family) answered with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and American guard Ricky Easterling (189-83, college: Bridgewater) added 19 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Saarlouis/Dillingen. Five Saarlouis/Dillingen players scored in double figures. Giessen Pointers will face Tuebingen II (#6) at home in the next round. Saarlouis/Dillingen will play against Kaiserslautern (#5) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
