Regular Season Round 2: FC Bayern II - Elchingen 74-70

Very important is a road loss of Elchingen (1-1) against FC Bayern II (1-1) on Saturday night. Visiting Elchingen was defeated by FC Bayern II in a tough game in Muenchen 70-74. FC Bayern II had a 32-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. Point guard Nelson Weidemann (190-99) notched 26 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and Bosnian Rijad Avdic (201-98) supported him with 16 points and 6 rebounds. Even a double-double of 16 points and 15 rebounds by forward Brian Butler (196-91) did not help to save the game for Elchingen. Croatian forward Jere Vucica (206-92, college: Miami, OH, agency: Court Side) added 15 points for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. FC Bayern II's next round opponent will be OrangeAcademy (#3) in Ulm and it may be quite challenging game. Elchingen will play at home against Loewen and hope to win that game.
