Regular Season Round 3: Mannheim - HAKRO Merlins II 91-81

Mannheim used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Crailsheim 91-81 on Sunday night. Mannheim dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to HAKRO Merlins II's 48. It was a good game for guard Benjamin Kaufhold (185-89) who led his team to a victory with 19 points and 6 rebounds. Swingman Alexander Kuhn (198-92) contributed with 11 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. British guard Liam Carpenter (187-96) answered with 26 points and American forward Arsenio Arrington (206-96, college: Aquinas Coll.) added 17 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for HAKRO Merlins II. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Mannheim will face Kronberg (#13) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. HAKRO Merlins II will play against Speyer and hopes to get finally their first victory.
