Very predictable result when Ansbach (2-0) won against on the road Jena II (0-2) 74-63 on Sunday. Ansbach had a 37-23 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Jena II was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for forward Walter Simon (202-89, college: Cumberland) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Marcel Koulibaly (186-90) contributed with 11 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Five Ansbach players scored in double figures. Point guard Jan Heber (184-98) answered with 14 points and 6 assists and Russian Dominik Shusel (200-99) added 9 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Jena II. Jena II's coach tested eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Ansbach will face Schwabing (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Jena II will play against Topstar and hopes to get finally their first victory.
