Regular Season Round 3: Rytas - Prienu Skycop 95-66

Date: September 30, 2018
Rytas smashed Prienu Skycop in Vilnius 95-66. The game was mostly controlled by Rytas. Prienu Skycop managed to win fourth quarter 23-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Rytas dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Prienu Skycop's 22. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a good game for American swingman Dominique Sutton (198-86, college: N.C.Central) who led his team to a victory with 15 points and 7 rebounds. International forward Eimantas Bendzius (204-90) contributed with 17 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. The former international guard Mindaugas Lukauskis (198-79) answered with 18 points and the former international guard Martynas Gecevicius (193-88) added 12 points and 5 assists in the effort for Prienu Skycop. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Prienu Skycop will play next round against Siauliai trying to get back on the winning streak. Rytas will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
